⚠️ IMPORTANT QUALITY ALERT

200LX SECOND STAGE: VOLUNTARY RECALL (CONSUMER) AND REMEDY

AFFECTED DATES AND SERIAL NUMBER RANGES

Units purchased between May 2, 2017, and May 15, 2025, having a serial number within the ranges:

  • C37523 – C77735

  • S73202 – S84427

  • HA00001 – HA14873

  • LX001698 – LX009896

DESCRIPTION

Hollis® has received reports of internal components within certain Hollis 200LX second stage regulators separating or fracturing before or after a dive. Further investigation concluded that some units may exhibit reduced impact resistance, particularly if the second stage is dropped or struck on the adjustable inhalation knob. In these cases, damage to the inlet tube assembly could render the second stage non-functional.

While no incidents have been reported during an active dive, this condition could pose a drowning hazard if it were to occur in use. As a precaution, if you have a 200LX affected by this quality alert, stop use immediately. Separate the second stage(s) from the low-pressure hose included with the regulator set and return it to your local service location.

Hollis® is currently producing a more durable inlet valve which will allow a retrofit component and resolve the mentioned issue. We expect these parts to be with their global service network within 4-6 weeks of this notice. The replacement part necessary for this quality alert is an upgraded stainless steel inlet tube which replaces the original brass version.

It is of the upmost importance that if you have a regulator affected by this quality alert, that you stop use and have the inlet valve replaced by a qualified technician as soon as possible. Dealers, as well as end users have been notified to take all necessary precautions when dealing with life support equipment.

Zeagle® Onyx II Second Stage
$250 / XCG 445 excl. O.B.

Free flow control and adjustable cracking pressure. Built on top of the DNA of the original Onyx, the Zeagle Onyx II second stage is a lightweight and comfortable unit that’s compact enough to fit into any kit or setup.

Adjustable inhalation resistance,  free-flow control and anti-freezing features combine to help the Onyx II second stage punch above its weight, especially for the price and warranty that comes with it.

Made from flexible yet rigid mix of thermoplastic, elastomeric, polymer and silicone rubber, the Onyx II is grippable and supple to the touch, yet incredibly strong and durable over years of long lasting use.

Included:
Yellow cover (to convert into an Octo unit)

Highly recommended add-ons (not included):
310-0310-S Onyx II First Stage (for DIN P/N 310-0320-S)

Zeagle® Envoy II Second Stage (Octopus)
$199 / XCG 354 excl. O.B.

High performance with free-flow control. The Envoy II has a Venturi Control Lever that allows the diver to set the 2nd stage in the Pre-Dive position until needed. This is very important in regulators, since the Pre-Dive position is much more resistant to Venturi-free flows that can sometimes result in significant air-loss during a dive.

Hard-to-miss, the Envoy II Octopus comes with a replaceable, bright yellow facing that’s easily spotted in low-light conditions and a 36″ hose that yields plenty of clearance for rigging and other gear.

Included:
Black cover (to convert into a primary unit)

Highly recommended add-ons (not included):
310-0310-S Onyx II First Stage (for DIN P/N 310-0320-S)
